Gonzalo Casis
Born in Panama in August 1982, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Architecture at the University of Panama in 2006. He then entered the Graduate School of Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) at Columbia University in New York, supported by a recommendation letter from Spanish architect Alberto Campo Baeza, and earned a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design (AAD 2009). This program is ranked among the top three master's degree programs in architecture in the world. During his studies, he learned from renowned architects such as Steven Holl and Bernard Tschumi.
He returned to Panama in 2009, where he had the opportunity to apply his knowledge to various commercial and residential projects. His work has earned recognition, including participation in 11 MOA awards organized by the College of Architects of Panama, along with the title of Work of the Year 2011-2012. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Higher Education and has served as a faculty member at four architecture schools in Panama, conducting numerous conferences, courses, and experimental workshops focused on architectural design.
Passionate about photography (National Visual Arts Competition Roberto Lewis 2011), he strives to find in each project the opportunity to create architecture that is dignified, functional, and enhances human sensations within space.
