1984 - 2004 - Present

Ivan Casis y Asociados was established in 1984 under the leadership of Iván Casis Mitil, who, after fifteen years of working in Design and Project Management across various firms, decided to become independent and start his own practice. As the principal architect, he has developed, alongside a large group of collaborators and advisors from diverse fields, an active portfolio that encompasses both public and private projects of varying complexity.

In 2004, building on the firm he founded and directed for twenty years, Iván Casis Mitil created Casis Arquitectos with the addition of his three sons: Iván, Juan José, and Gonzalo. Since then, the firm has focused on blending experience and technical rigor with a pursuit of new ideas and technologies, all grounded in a strong ethical foundation in architectural practice.

Under this working philosophy, the firm has achieved significant recognition, including five SPIA Awards, one of which was for Project of the Year, along with numerous publications in both national and international platforms, establishing itself among the leading architecture firms in Panama.

In a continuous effort to innovate, the firm welcomed a new partner in 2018: Ernesto Mock, who, after nine years of practice in prominent architecture firms in the United States including Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM), Arquitectonica and Frank Gehry and Associates, he joined the team to enhance knowledge in coordination, efficiency, and advanced design development.

This collaboration marked the inception of Casis Mock Architects.
